Affiliate Disclosure

How affiliate relationships may support SaaSPillar.com without controlling its editorial conclusions.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

SaaSPillar.com may use affiliate links to support the cost of researching, producing, hosting, and maintaining its decision-support content. This disclosure explains what those relationships mean and the safeguards used to separate them from editorial conclusions.

What an affiliate relationship is

An affiliate relationship allows a publisher to receive compensation when a reader follows a tracked link and completes a qualifying action, such as a purchase, paid subscription, registration, or another action defined by the relevant program.

Compensation may take the form of a fixed amount, a percentage of an eligible transaction, a recurring commission for a limited or continuing period, or another published program structure. Eligibility, attribution windows, reversals, geographic restrictions, and payout rules vary by provider.

Following an affiliate link will not necessarily change the price shown to a reader, but SaaSPillar.com does not make a universal price guarantee. Merchant pricing, regional taxes, currency conversion, promotions, coupons, plan selection, and account eligibility may all affect the final amount. The provider’s checkout and current terms remain authoritative.

Current status

During the current content-establishment phase, SaaSPillar.com is not placing public affiliate links into its initial ranked content. Candidate products and courses may be selected from programs that appear compatible with an independent content publisher, but link activation requires separate application approval and verification of the exact offer and terms.

A visible test page, merchant name, product review, or program research record does not prove that an active commercial relationship exists. Where no active relationship exists, an ordinary official link may be used for research or reader utility without being an affiliate link.

When affiliate links are activated:

  • the page will contain a clear disclosure close to the relevant commercial action;
  • qualifying links will use appropriate sponsored-link attributes;
  • branded redirect routes will not be used to conceal the merchant or mislead readers;
  • direct affiliate URLs will be used instead when program terms prohibit link masking;
  • restricted, paused, expired, unverified, or geographically incompatible offers will be suppressed rather than guessed or silently redirected elsewhere.

A link to a product does not necessarily mean it is an affiliate link. Editorial citations, official documentation, scientific papers, regulatory sources, and ordinary reference links are not treated as sponsored merely because they lead away from SaaSPillar.com.

Editorial safeguards

Affiliate eligibility helps define the first-year commercial candidate universe, but it does not determine the editorial order within that universe. In particular:

  • commission size does not increase a score or ranking;
  • a commercially attractive product may still receive a negative or limited verdict;
  • pricing, limitations, exclusions and material risks remain part of the review;
  • category-specific criteria are chosen for user decision value, not payout structure;
  • serious alternatives are not concealed to protect a commercial relationship;
  • modeled savings or revenue effects are never guaranteed affiliate outcomes.

An offer can fail commercially without changing the truth of the research. During the initial affiliate-establishment phase, loss of program eligibility triggers a review of the affected product’s place in ranked commercial surfaces. It does not authorize changing factual findings or redirecting the reader to an unrelated merchant.

Coupons, trials and special offers

A coupon, free trial, discount, bonus, scholarship, or seasonal promotion is described only when its source, eligible product, geography, audience, expiry conditions, and promotional restrictions have been checked. A discount is not described as exclusive unless that status is explicitly supported by current provider terms.

SaaSPillar.com will not submit or distribute a partner coupon through third-party coupon sites unless the program terms expressly permit that traffic and distribution method.

Referrals, sponsorships and owned products

Customer-referral programs, reseller arrangements, lead-generation agreements, sponsorships, paid placements, and affiliate programs are not automatically equivalent. Any materially different commercial relationship should be identified in language appropriate to that relationship.

Products created or sold by SaaSPillar.com will be labelled as owned products. Their presence will not be disguised as an independent third-party recommendation.

Reporting a concern

Questions about a commercial relationship, link destination, discount, or disclosure may be submitted through the Contact page once the public contact channel is active. Factual errors can also be handled under the Corrections Policy.

This disclosure will be updated when the first affiliate offer is activated or when the commercial model changes materially.
